Didn't do this last season but it would have read something like:-

1. Get to 3rd round of the cup
2. Survive relegation (try to push for 4th in Div 4 league if poss)
3. Keep developing squad
4. Get some decent youngsters to train
5. Sign a top goal kicker

Results:
1. K.O.'d round 3
2. Amazingly finished 2nd overall after finishing 4th in regular season
3. Average CSR is now about 15k higher than at the start of S17
4. I have 4 guys who are coming along well
5. Got one! Only 23 y/o as well Very Happy

Season 18 Goals:

1. Try to achieve a play off place in the league again (anything more is a bonus, but I think it may be harder this season).
2. Get through a couple of rounds in the cup - probably 3rd round again but hoping to get lucky with the draw!
3. Get Canale trained to 45,000 CSR
4. Get Crum trained to 25,000 CSR
5. Be in a position to make much needed changes to the stadium by the end of the season.
6. Don't spend any more on the TM!!!!

Quite a few this season, hoping for at least 6 out of the 9

1. 3rd in League
2. 3rd Round in the cup
3. Tangari over 50k CSR
4. Howkins promoted and trained over 35k CSR
5. Replace a few of the older players
6. Have all level 4 trainers and facilities by r16
7. Average 1st XV CSR above 60K (currently 52K)
8. Have at least 500k in the bank before prize money
9. Improve youth system

5) Buy a trainable prop
6) Pull a trainable flanker

Ummmm...a little uninspired....

1) Round 4 or Cup, both teams.
2) League: 3rd with main team, 2nd with affiliate.
3) Afford my stadium upgrade...hopefully with some prize money.
4) Get some players over 60K CSR.
5) Actually train one youth properly on 10 nets.

Going to make a statement here, just to show how early I decided on this (started last week in fact). I plan on getting 1st place in my division.

I'm going to do it by trying to manipulate the playoffs positions so that the strongest squads are in 1st and 4th, the guy in 4th doesn't manage well, but in a playoff situation there's no way 1st place can't LTNT. I myself should then be in a position where Normal is more than enough, maybe even wnwim. This will leave me in the final, lacking HGA but with a hopefully decent energy advantage.

Chewdra, if you read this, I don't believe you can do too much to change my plans, I'll be wnwim against you at the end of the season regardless, I guess you could effect me via the Rams result, but we shall see!

Picnic wrote:1. Win a league game
2. Get Rosu above 90K CSR
3. Scout players at 212cm and 209cm, both to have a range of medium and high skills, bar kicking.
4. Advertise for further lvl 5 trainers as cash allows
5. End the season with 1900 or so members
6. Spend nothing on the TM

Seeing as I have no issue in playing the play-offs I can update this now

1. Epic fail bar the bot match.
2. He'll hit circa 80K CSR, and that on admirable form, so fail.
3. 199cm was the tallest, but lots of medium skills bar kicking. Fail
4. Progressed to lvl 5 senior training across the board, tick.
5. Over 1800, but no chance of hitting 1900, fail.
6. Missed this by $2,718,619 so another marginal fail.

1 out of 6 isn't bad, just as Meatloaf didn't quite sing.

1. Playoffs, and nearly stood a chance at making my later prediction of finishing 1st true, but the correcting of teams on equal points screwed me.
2. Round 2, very nasty draw.
3. 112k, stopped training him as I'd picked up a lock trainee.
4. 84k by the end of the season.
5. Probably about 76k.

3 out of 5, not bad.

Got 5 decent youths but not much revealed on them yet. Will have to see how they promote.
2. Hope that one of the Div III bots falls into my league for S18.
Wait and see on this one.
3. Continue the progress by finishing at least 3rd (subject to final league lineup).
Dropped down to 4th but not too disappointed. Almost pulled off an upset in the semi which meant I put myself at a disadvantage in the bronze match. Also due to some better competition promoting into the league. Congrats to DirtyDaveDiggler on an excellent first Div IV season!
4. Continue training Matty Bowler, top estimate of 80k CSR for end S18.
Already over 80k with another week to go.
5. Convince the club not to spend it's new found cash reserves ($500k).
The club disobeyed me and spent big on a new stand for the new fans. Has just opened and will see the grand opening next season.
6. Continue turnover of squad players with new youth players promoting in at over 30k CSR each. (Mingau, May, Langcake and Roughead are best hopes)
Promoted a number of new players - Langcake 50k, Halverson 54k, Kennelly 40k and Mingau 55k. Roughead to promote early next season too.
