Re: How many scouts is everyone doing?
How do you do more than 2 eligible u20s from one club? You can only promote one a week, right?
Anyway I popped this 20 star chappy.

105kg 192cm collected reckless
Unless I change my YA training he'll probably come out with 12 (or close) in Stamina, Strength, Handling and Speed.
big centre? light back-row?

Re: How many scouts is everyone doing?
Either of those. But if you think he may be a back row you'll want tech to come out as high as possible. Reckless isn't easy to overcome in the back row.
Of course he could play centre for you whilst training to play/end up in the back row

Re: How many scouts is everyone doing?
Thinking about it a switch to Tech training might be in order for my YA anyway, I'm training a 2nd row up at the moment and hope to be training a hooker soon, so it might well be wise to switch the Speed, or Stamina to Technique at some point soon. Maybe I can switch between the 3 evenly.
Does anyone know if switching training every week is detrimental? Should I work out how many weeks I have to train and train in blocks or doesn't it matter?

I've even wonder if leaving training on the same skills leads to a boredom factor.
But as far as I can tell switching training makes no difference.

Thinking Lock and No. 8 but worried reckless is too big a problem for a No. 8 and 201 cm too short for a lock
Thoughts please

Re: How many scouts is everyone doing?
I was hoping Belt would be a bit taller than the guy he replaced, still i suppose the back-row would be an ideal fit for him??

Re: How many scouts is everyone doing?

Re: How many scouts is everyone doing?
prop was the first thing that come to my mind but thought he was a) too light and b) his medium Jumping which led me to believe he would be a better fit on the back row. Still can see how the other skills reveal themselves and then go one way or the other.

Re: How many scouts is everyone doing?
well I have a prop at 139kgs so was using his weight as a guide.

Re: How many scouts is everyone doing?
thats the top of the pyramid mate , the very pinnacle since the changes to the academy.
127kg is a very respectfull weight for an U20 and club prop.
130kg is nice for national team but by no means paramount.
thesedays and in the future skills will be king and secondary skills and TSP on props will be more key than it ever has been.
heavy players also lose stamina faster are slower and less agile so the game is leaning towards total rugby rather than fat players winning games.

ah right, shall take that into consideration when looking through the youth academy and the prospects within it in future seasons.
