YA - Increase in cap levels
All a bit quiet in here .....
So what does everyone think? Will increasing the soft cap's in the YA mean it is actually worthwhile keeping players until they are 19 then promoting them as feasible first team players?

Re: YA - Increase in cap levels
Depends what your first team looks like. For my team sure, for okay to good teams not so much.
With training limited to 4 slots even if the soft cap has gone up to 14 it might prove tricky to get a good range of skills even to 13. But having gone from pondering closing my YA I now have no such thoughts. Not sure if I had no YA I'd now open one, I think this will encourage enough new YAs to open that TM prices will remain good for buying all but the superstars.

I'm in a similar position, came very close to razing mine to the ground but the sunk investment but stopped me.
If I can get a steady flow of 2/3 players through to the first team with 14's in core skills that will justify me keeping it in the short term (and keep my first team slots to train the star players)

What this does make easier is the plan of training for a season or two players ageing out at 19-20. Now they won't get so stuck on skills being TT when already at a 12

Re: YA - Increase in cap levels
Agree, if a play is pulling aged 19 with core skills at 14 it is easier to justify the investment to bump up to 15/16 with a couple of seasons training.
When they cap out at 12 that isn't tenable
