So it's upon us, and it's looking like a bit of a mixed bag according to the papers. The good news is Ashton and B Youngs have been sent packing due to form issues, the not so good news is Barritt is likely to be on the bench in place of dedicated Fly half cover (i.e. Ford), with 36/Goode covering 10 in case of emergency. Based on form Care gets to start. Mail and telegraph both seem to suggest:

M Brown (Harlequins);
J Nowell (Exeter),
L Burrell (Northampton),
B Twelvetrees (Gloucester),
J May (Gloucester);
O Farrell (Saracens),
D Care (Harlequins);
J Marler (Harlequins),
D Hartley (Northampton),
D Cole (Leicester);
J Launchbury (Wasps),
C Lawes (Northampton);
T Wood (Northampton),
B Vunipola (Saracens),
C Robshaw (capt. Harlequins).

Substitutes: T Youngs (Leicester), M Vunipola (Saracens), H Thomas (Sale), D Attwood (Bath), B Morgan (Gloucester), L Dickson (Northampton), B Barritt (Saracens), A Goode (Saracens).

Bit annoyed at no Ford, but understandable in many ways, especially after the Tomkins fiasco, that they'd want a bit more security on the bench.

Who covers fly half? 12Ts?  Goode? Don't fancy either of those much

edit - should of reaf Raggs post properly instead of skipping to the line up, still point stands that I wouldn't fancy either of them covering

Then pray Farrell doesn't get broken Smile. Still, announcement today I believe, and if Ford appears on the bench we know that the Mail and the Telegraph no longer have their England manager hotline. Though I suspect that's not working so well recently anyway, given the lineup changes they've had in the last week, and the fact it took them 3 days or more to find out Ashton had got the chop.

Mail/Telegraph called it correctly.

Lets hope Burrell goes well enough for Lancaster not to feel the need for Barritt to be on the bench next week, and for Ford to get a go.

Why not keep Barritt and ditch Goode, there's a reasonable case we're starting with three fullbacks as is?

Or even, ditch Barritt and Goode and bench Ford and Watson
