Hi Guys

Fairly new to the offsite but a veteran BR player (Season 7-10) (Season 12-18) and now Season 27.

Ive noticed many new things about BR including the inflation of CSR against value no way would i used to be able to get 50,000+ CSR 20 year olds for £1,000! Now I got to excitied and from the transfer market bought an excellent (young) squad from the TM and this means i am set for the first easily 5-10 seasons on BR (oldest player bought 22). However wiht finance now bummed and infastructure only the basics, what should i do next concentrate on expanding stadium? Or look towards acadmey? or coaches etc. As a Player who only just managed one season in II I may be experienced in quantity of time but i wouldnt call it quality hoping to sort my ways!

Cheers

Expanding the stadium too much and too early is seldom a good idea, but what are your gates likes Vs human and Vs bot clubs?

And what staff and facilities do you have in place or advertised for?

Hi Quind, thanks for your reply! Erm 5k maxed out vs Humans and Bots a bit less than that. Non at the moment, im in a wee bit of debt atm but not advertising for any, just all basic level 1 everything.

My view would be to not worry about the youth academy for a few seasons as it takes a while to make any money from it.

For training, look to getting level three or four ASAP. I don't see the point in having anything less as players won't develop fast enough or be able to reach high enough skill levels.

As for stadium expansion, if you regularly sell out then you should upgrade. No more than 5,000 seats total for each time as empty seats cost money. A rule of thumb for ground size is:
Standing 21%
Uncovered 39%
Covered 31%
Members 8%
Corporate 1%

Do standing a bit slower than the rest, although that's the perfect ratio, they're expensive not to fill, and don't bring in much cash when full.

A first stadium upgrade should be much smaller than 5,000 seats (incl. standing). A first expansion might see you expand to 7,000 or so, although if you're in debt it's a non starter to start the building work for a while anyway.

Whether you go the Youth Academy or Seniors training route is a fair question at the commencement of the game, what I wouldn't advise is to do both as it'll slow progression in the other, and as Edd notes you really want to progress either to level 3 Asap. In base terms there's little to choose between them, I suspect the YA route to be a better one, but (and it's a very big but) the YA takes a long time in real life to achieve anything, so I'd tend to recommend the seniors as being the first side of training/development to progress or do neither and just use the transfer market.

Should you elect to go with just seniors or just youth academy I'd close the other side down fully, there's a bit of wasted money in that but the long term weekly costs of maintaining even level 1 training vastly outweighs such costs. Also just to make clear how long it'll take to really progress the YA I think you're looking at 18-24 months in real life.

Love all the advice, from what ive been given I think perhaps the best route will be to up my (head coach and Facilities both senior) to the highest level I can get them as quickly as possible. This way I can bring in some Bonus tourny money to pay for developments in infastructure such as YA and Stadium.

Thanks for the perfect ratio because I never know what is best really!
