Re: Making money
save stars an scout players every Odd season starting season 16 round 2 , these players will have U20 world cup potential and will be worth a potential fortune at the age of 17.
train 2 players on 10 sessions and 1 player on 9 sessions for a few seasons and sell them for profit, repeating the process to build a large bank balance to buy top players and stadium aexpansions and so on.

Re: Making money
Advice on how many stars to use has vaired hugely. A few seasons back and people were saving to scout with 300+ or even 500+ stars.
Now the consenus is between 20-40 stars. Certainly no less than 20 stars, and maybe more like 40 if hoping for that 205cm+ or 126kg+ player.
The consensus may change again within 3 seasons.

Don't be led astray! Stars don't guarantee physicals, only skill levels. You can still pull a 205/120 player on 0 stars, he'll just have non-existent - limited in everything.
I've found good results at 20-40. Hambleton was 40 stars, promoted at 32k, Dedman was 17 stars, promoted at 26k, both U20s.
Also, with a level 3 youth coach, you can really improve a player in the one season he's with your academy. Pick team training skills based around the players you want to sell (For example Stamina, strength, defence, technique for forwards, or attack, handling, agility, speed for backs). You should be able to get a couple of pops out of them with the new boosted training.

To be clear I didn't mean more stars = better physicals. But rather if you're promoting a prop or lock, and hence should get a same position replacement you may want to use more stars.
