RWC 2015 Pools
pool draw is done. for those of you that didnt see it.
Pool A
Australia
England
Wales
Oceania 1
Play off winner 1
Pool B
South Africa
Samoa
Scotland
Asia 1
Americas2
Pool C
New Zealand
Argentina
Tonga
Europe 1
Africa 1
Pool D
France
Ireland
Italy
Americas 1
Europe2
Pool A is the pool of death, but i think england can pull off a 1st place finish if they work hard enough, with pool D looking pretty nasty too. i'll let you all speculate who the other teams to qualify will be. probably japan, usa, canada, fiji, romania, georgia, the usuals.
assuming we do the usual knockout system:
winner pool A vs runner up pool B
vice versa
winner pool C vs runner up pool D
vice versa
winner qf1 vs winner qf3
winner qf2 vs winner qf4
i think quarter finals;
england vs samoa
australia vs south africa
new zealand vs ireland
argentina vs france
semi's
england vs new zealand
australia vs argentina
leaving an all southern hemisphere final of new zealand vs australia.
i think thats quite a dull final which is a shame but of course could be very wrong. thoughts?
EDIT: i will edit this and include the other 8 teams as and when they qualify

Re: RWC 2015 Pools
England to beat New Zealand, following a New Zealand narrow victory over the Irish and then to beat Australia
Or England not to get out of the group

Re: RWC 2015 Pools
A bit of a bump, but I think you've got the SFs wrong...
RWC states QF1 vs QF2, and QF3 vs QF4
Which should be good news for us assuming all goes as planned.
It becomes:
England vs Arg/Fra
NZ vs SA/Aus/Wal
I realise neither Arg nor Fra are pushovers, but better them than NZ in the semi's I'd have thought.
Potentially sets up a Hosts vs Holders final .
