An ode to Edd

In recognition of the fine winger Ed has put onto the TM, and made provision to train tomorrow I'd commented such an act was worthy of a poem, perhaps more than one. I wasn't actually going to publish any poems (or really even write any) but due to popular demand here's an ode to the fine manager that is Edd, manager of the national team. NB. due to even more popular demand there can only be one (poem that is, and the Highlander reference is for anyone who enjoys Sean Connery doing his best Spanish accent)

A player brought up from the juniors with speed to play on the wing,
was left with no training to nurture him and for his supper would have to sing,
but then from the shadows stepped a hero, and said fear not fair lad,
for I've something to show you, and it'll make you glad,
And when the lad saw the sessions, at the level five facility,
he resolved not to dwell on missing, his days in the academy
for he knew now his future was bright, no need to be stuck in a rut,
and for that he'd honour his champion, the steadfast and steely Eddbutt


Btw, one the off chance anyone is still reading and is wondering if I'd abase myself further in the name of advancing the Season 32 campaign then hell yes, this would be as nothing.
