Getting Attached to players
I surely cant be alone in this.
We have all been there.Newly promoted and need new players to compete. Some look to our YA. The others the TM. But what about the players they replace? Am I the only one who feels a little bit bad just getting rid of these players? Surely someone else must think of them and their hopes and ambitions to be a rugby player?
Maybe I am just sad and have nothing better to do but I want to know if anyone else feels bad when firing players.

Re: Getting Attached to players
I have a superstar player who I've trained all the way from the YA. I'm not looking forward to the day I have to sell him
I probably should have sold him 3-4 seasons ago when I had to stop training him as he was unbalancing the squad massively, but I just couldn't part. As it is, he'll still be worth a million or two when I do get rid of him...

I'm the same!
I got in a young scottish prop/flanker for my 1st ever signing in div5 for pennies. He stuck with me. Was my captain and star for many years and now as I'm approaching the top end of div4 I've had to sell him because he wasn't getting game time.
Heart breaking.

Re: Getting Attached to players
I sell my players when I have a replacement for my players. I've been attached to a few players before but in the end sometimes it is best to think with your head. I still have my first properly trained player in my side:
Jason "Lu" Lu Add Shortcut

A conservative player with flawless discipline, impressive leadership, and satisfactory experience.

Technique: Superior 16 Strength: Amazing 14
Jumping: Moderate 5 Speed: Amazing 14

But no originals.

Re: Getting Attached to players
You are not alone! I sold my last original a few weeks ago. He was 40 and down from 250k CSR to zero. It's tough to let them go but I'm getting better at treating it like business rather than personal.
