Started up at Ridgeway’s on cloud nine
Met up with the pauper trying to buy time,
The salesman had broad shoulders and a cracked door
Sitting carving sculptures in the ice
Just waiting for the big thaw.

The feeling was euphoric hence the metaphor
This guy was like a bull in a china shop
I was the matador,
Balu the bear wrote the book on necessity
Since she had no rhythm I declined somewhat recessively,
It was my character thus I had no choice
Written in the notebook I dutifully carried to voice,
My own opinions scripted in chalk
And deep-rooted ignorance gave me no time to talk.

I would concede and conclude forthwith your victory
I would withhold your latest fit of jealousy
Why would we cry when our vocal cords gave pittance?
The papers delivered bad news and to that I say good riddance

In my greatest hour of need I could not speak
Being fuelled with such anger made me feel so weak,
