strange result

ok so me and my brother have just done the 2nd thursday friendly in a row. he never changed his squad or tactics. mine were changed completely as i was trying out new things. last time i lost by 20 or so points, this time by 6. but this time some of the players i picked were worse than my default. all ratings were the same if not slightly worse in the forwards, but the statistics were all worse, with the forwards performance actually dropping a fair bit. the only other thing is last time it was a clear night whereas tonight it was raining. so was wandering if anyone could explain this result?
also maybe because my brothers tactics were more backs based? which weather may have affected

whats rng? and he never changed anything. and so would you say based on the scoreline my 2nd team was better or based on ratings and statistics by 1st team was better?

sounds like your first team is better but you changed your tactics allot with your second choice players didnt you so that probably explains the performance

I think weather plays a factor, in real life bad weather games are more low scoring (if the scoring was less) plus if his tactics were more backs based he would suffer. Yet again in real life on a bad weather day games always fall down to a mud bath battle between the forwards and if you try and fling it out to the backs all the time you'll suffer (knock ons etc)

As wing suggests if you use your new tactics on a wet day and your brother is happy to keep his tactics the same, use your first team and see what the result is.
