S17 English Community Belt
[b]Current Holder: agt35
Latest: 3th Rnd Knockout of ngater
Record: 1 Wins (1 KOs)
Next bout: N/A [b]
S17 Holders
Matt evans: 13
Quickball123: 6
D-red: 3
agt35: 2
ngater: 1
IcER: 1
Roo: 1
Skandalous: 1
Quindacagon: 1
The rules:
*If the current holder gets beaten by an English side, in any form of match, the belt passes over to the victor.
*A win by greater than 7 points counts as a Knockout. Less is on points.
*The holder must make an effort to make Mon / Thurs defences (otherwise the belt could be locked into a league)
*I will tally the number of successful defences by each holder. Friendly defences only count if against an English opponent less than 2 divisions below the champ. i.e. If a division 1 manager plays Div 4/5 teams in monday or thursday friendlies this does not count (although the belt can be lost in these games!). This is to prevent the belt holder racking up defences against weak opposition.
*Games against bots do not count as defences.

Re: S17 English Community Belt
Hi Pascal
While still in the cup, I don't really want to be playing Monday friendlies (in order to maximise energy levels), and am in an international thursday friendly competition. I suppose I'll probably lose the belt to someone in the league soon enough anyway, but just wanted to let you know!

Re: S17 English Community Belt
Hi Matt,
As long as you keep making valid defences outside your league the belt is yours so no problem whilst you are still in the cup.
Only included that rule to stop a dominant team in a league, out of the cup and not playing friendlies, from hogging the belt.

Does he not have to defend it in the Cup?

Re: S17 English Community Belt
Yeah, he could lose it in the cup but as his opposition are 3 levels below him it doesn't count as a valid defence.

Re: S17 English Community Belt
ah - but surely as it is a competitive fixture it should count regardless?

Re: S17 English Community Belt
hmmmm, I suppose Cup should count as long as it's not a bot. Introduced that rule to stop defences getting racked up against lower level teams but Cup is random.

Re: S17 English Community Belt
Agreed as long as it isn't a Bot - he can't choose his fixtures in the Cup which is the important thing IMO

Re: S17 English Community Belt
I will win it back at some point... I messed up with the orders for that one and fielded too many reserves; meant that for the cup dammit

Yeah, looks like I won it back from d-red in the cup... not sure I'll hang onto it much longer though as have to balance latter cup matches and the league

Re: S17 English Community Belt
Yes, I still have it! League match away to Brom next though... so then it'll be IcER's until I hopefully beat him in the league's final!

New champ is Skand. Pity as I had a friendly sorted with Roo on Thursday!! Was planning to bring the belt home to Div IV where it belongs.....
